You’re Not Broken — You’re Healing Out Loud
Let’s be real — healing isn’t cute. It’s not crystals and calm. It’s crying in the car. It’s saying “no” for the first time and shaking after.

Let’s be real — healing isn’t cute.
It’s not crystals and calm.
It’s crying in the car.
It’s saying “no” for the first time and shaking after.
It’s looking in the mirror and realizing that the version of you you’ve been punishing was just trying to survive.
In my book, Healing Out Loud: Understand Yourself & Heal From Your Past Like a Badass, I talk about the messy, tender, inconvenient truth about trauma: it doesn’t disappear just because you’re doing better. Healing is not about forgetting what happened — it’s about learning how to listen differently.
“We listen with our wounds until we learn to listen with wisdom.” — Healing Out Loud
What Trauma Really Sounds Like
Trauma doesn’t always scream. Sometimes it whispers in the choices you make, the people you attract, the boundaries you don’t set, and the things you tolerate.
It shows up in relationships where you abandon yourself to feel needed.
In the urge to over-explain your truth so you’re not misunderstood.
In the exhaustion that comes from constantly managing how you’re perceived.
But you’re not “too sensitive.” You’re awake.
Healing Is Not a Destination
Healing doesn’t come with a certificate or a perfect version of you waiting on the other side. It’s circular, like grief. It revisits you in new ways — not to haunt you, but to check if you’re ready to go deeper.
In Chapter Seven, I wrote about healing as a form of grief — grieving the childhood you didn’t get, the love you didn’t receive, the self you lost while keeping everyone else safe.
“Healing is a form of holy rebellion. You stop living by the rules your pain wrote for you.” — Healing Out Loud
Start Where It Hurts
Don’t wait until you feel “ready.” That day might never come. Start where it hurts.
Name what you couldn’t say out loud before.
Write the letter you never sent.
Set one boundary and hold it like your life depends on it — because in some ways, it does.
This Book Is for You If…
You’ve ever felt like healing wasn’t made with you in mind
You’re tired of over-explaining your pain
You want to feel safe inside your own skin
You’re done performing strength and ready to be whole
"Healing Out Loud: Like a Badass "isn’t just a book — it’s a mirror, a flashlight, and a soft place to land.
You’re not behind. You’re not failing. You’re healing — out loud, in real time.
And that, my friend, is badass.
